United have already reached a £72m agreement with Barcelona for him, but the Dutchman does not want to make the switch.

And now, Chelsea are looking to hijack the deal.

According to Spanish outlet Sport, The Blues have offered a total of £59m plus Alonso to Barcelona in an attempt to strike a deal with the LaLiga giants.

Barcelona have been pushing to sign the Chelsea full-back for weeks, so the swap could prove to be ideal for both clubs.
