CORONATION Street fans are predicting a harrowing storyline for Ryan Connor after he was left homeless and universally hated on the cobbles.

The waiter – who is played by actor Ryan Prescott in the ITV soap – was convinced to rob the Bistro by Debbie Webster for an insurance job.

However it went disastrously wrong when Debbie discovered her fool-proof plan to cut the power, didn’t cut the CCTV.

And so Ryan was caught red-handed and publicly by his neighbours.

At the station, Ryan realised if he kept his mouth shut that he could speak to Debbie.

And they cut a deal for him to take the blame and still get his cut.

HAYLEY COME HOME

Corrie changed the world with Hayley Cropper – we need her again

“Thanks to you, everyone is going to hate me,” he told her.

“I’m going down for this. If by some miracle I don’t, I want compensation for this. And I’m not just talking about your share, I want more.”

She eagerly agreed and even told him she would make him the manager of one of her bars or hotels.

But by the time he was back on the cobbles Ryan went home to realise just how hated he was.

“Scumbag,” shouted Dev at him.

“They should lock you up and throw away the key.”

And when he got to the Rovers, he discovered Jenny had kicked him out telling him: “I’m sorry Ryan, I can’t risk it.”

Ryan was left stood on the street, homeless with his belongings in binbags.

And then Alya turned up to demand to know what he’d done from him – and even she didn’t give him the benefit of the doubt

“We’re not close anymore, we haven’t been in ages.

“I still really care about you, just tell me what happened…”

But Ryan couldn’t tell her and was left alone on the streets in a vulnerable state.

And now fans are worried about what the future holds for him.

One wrote: “Justice for Ryan Connor” followed by a heartbroken emoji.
